About the Research Shapers of Experience: The guiding questions of his research aim at sociable technologies, how they shape our experiences and how we are changing as we forge increasingly intimate relationships with machines or use them as mediators in human-to-human relationships. Leveraging his previous work in Knowledge Design, as well as extensive professional experience in media design and development, his research actually looks at social playing and learning associated with virtual worlds. About the Researcher Juergen Moritz studied Fine Arts and Visual Communication at the University of Applied Arts Vienna followed by studies of Media Arts and Media Sciences at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Recently he co-founded the Institute for Playstudies Bangkok, a new research and educational initiative with an emphasis on digital game-based learning. His works have been shown at the European Media Art Festival, the Venice Biennial, ARCO Madrid, Kuenstlerhaus Vienna, Museum of Modern Art Vienna, Biennale d‘ Milano, Museum of Contemporary Art, Found. Luigi Pecci/Prato, ZKM Karlsruhe, Video Art Center Tokyo and many other venues.
